Cat with Severe Eye Condition Needs Your Help

A three-year-old cat recently arrived at our Sam Swope Pet Treatment and Lifesaving Center with a severe ulcer on his right eye. The ulcer nearly covers his entire eye, impeding his vision and causing him untold amounts of pain. Despite it all, he rolls over for belly rubs and nuzzles every face he can get to, so we lovingly named him Mr. Baker the Biscuit Maker and promised we’d help him feel better.

Our goal is to avoid eye removal surgery by treating Mr. Baker’s ulcer with topical medication and eye drops. These medications act to soothe the irritation around his eye while simultaneously working to reduce the swelling caused by this ulcer. We’ll be closely monitoring his progress to ensure he’s on the right track, and will pivot his treatment plan if we don’t start seeing improvements over the next few days.

For now, Mr. Baker is comfortable and safe as our staff showers him with affection. We’ll update you as he continues to heal but in the meantime, please donate in his honor so that we can continue to provide our community’s most vulnerable animals with the tender loving care they need to thrive.
