Petunia Update 3/31/2025
Petunia arrived at our Sam Swope Pet Treatment and Lifesaving Center last week with a severely broken front left leg. Knowing amputation was the only way to guarantee this sweet girl makes a full recovery, we proceeded with surgery on Friday morning. Since then, Petunia has been recovering under our veterinary team’s watchful eyes and seems to be doing very well. She’s taken to three-legged life like a seasoned professional and has started showing off her snuggly, goofy personality. Now it’s time for Petunia to find a forever home! She is officially AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION at our Sam Swope Pet TLC (241 Steedly Drive) and can’t wait to meet you. Visit Miss Petunia today and give her the fairytale ending she deserves!

Help Petunia Heal 3/27/2025

Petunia recently arrived at our Sam Swope Pet Treatment and Lifesaving Center unable to bear weight on her front left leg. X-rays revealed that this two-year-old pup’s radius and ulna are both severely fractured. We’re not sure what caused poor Petunia’s injuries, but we’ve promised her that we’ll get her started on the road to recovery as soon as possible.

We’ve provided Petunia with pain medication and antibiotics to ensure she is comfortable and infection-free. Unfortunately, her injuries are irreparable and will require amputation surgery in order to guarantee a full recovery. Petunia undergoes surgery tomorrow morning and will then peacefully recover under our vet team’s watchful eyes over the weekend. We’ll keep you posted on this sweet girl’s progress but in the meantime, please donate to support lifesaving medical care for the vulnerable, abandoned and abused animals in our community. All gifts made through April 15 are being matched thanks to our friends at Strategic Communications, so your donation will double to support twice as many animals like Petunia.
