As 2025 comes to a close, we’re elated to share just a few of the lifesaving successes we’ve achieved with your help at the Kentucky Humane Society this year:
- Over 5,500 dogs, cats and horses found loving homes through adoption or were returned to their families
- Over 14,400 dogs and cats were spayed/neutered at our S.N.I.P. Clinic, CARE-a-van and Sam Swope Pet TLC
- Nearly 3,000 shelter pets spent time in loving foster homes
- Over $1,000,000 was raised at signature fundraising events (Waggin’ Tail Festival, Tuxes & Tails and Pars for Pets)
- Over 7,000 community members received advice and assistance from our expert Pet Retention Services team
- Hundreds of Louisville-area pets were pampered at our Fern Creek Pet Resort
